WHY A QUICK FIX ISN’T REAL HEALING

It’s very tempting when you have a problem to go straight to the quick and ready solutions; you have chronic pain – go to the painkillers to get through the day, have a dodgy back – go to the chiropractors and have your back cracked that’ll keep you going for the week, trying to ignore a stressful situation – going for a classic massage to ignore it for a time.

All these things are a nice short-term solution. But they quickly become the ‘’long-term’’ solution, which then traps you in a never-ending cycle of bouncing back and forth between pain and relief. Never at peace, and always wondering how long this short-term fix will work for this time as it inevitably becomes shorter and shorter, until it doesn’t work at all anymore and you’re just in constant pain. But there is another way…

Real healing takes time and patience and the ability to listen to your body and its flow. It’s a partnership with yourself. Where instead of forcing your body to comply to unreasonable demands of it, you work with it to try and find it’s true nature that allows you to go through life without feeling like it’s a constant battle with yourself.

This is what I do with my Acupressure and Reiki. I try and help you find the body’s truth – to let go of the things that no longer serve it and embrace the things that help you to expand and grow as a person. This harmony within gives space for the body to heal from the constant battle it would have been fighting every day, and encouraging a true healing.

The truth is, your body already knows how to heal, it just needs you to stop fighting it and start listening. Quick fixes mask the problem, making them easy to ignore, until you can’t anymore…but patience and presence transform it. If you’re ready to step out of the cycle of temporary relief and step into real, lasting healing, this is where the journey begins.
